WHO IS BURAK AKESEN?
He studied at Atatürk Anatolian High School between 1985-1992. Graduated from Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine in 1999, which he started in 1992.
He started his specialty in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 2001 at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine. He completed his specialty in 2005 and obtained the title of Orthopedics and Traumatology.
During the specialty, Dr. Burak passed 3 different USMLE examinations and has received ECFMG certificate which is required in USA. As a result is successful examinations; Dr. Burak Akesen has been the official fellow during 2005-2007 within the world's first spine center, TWIN CITIES SPINE CENTER (Minnesota, Minneapolis), which trained numerous spine surgeons in USA and the whole world. During this period, he performed several spinal surgeries himself. During his studies, he worked on biomechanics of the spine and published own works about it.
Dr. Burak Akesen started working as a lecturer in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology, Uludağ University in 2010; and he became an associate professor in 2012.
Assoc. Prof. Burak Akesen obtains a certification of spine surgery which has been accepted by many countries. All clinical and surgical studies are on spinal surgery. He has undertaken the treatment of all kinds of spine diseases.
